OCCI Invites Pakistani Business Community, Offers Incentives
Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) Chairman Redha Jumma Mohammad Ali-Al Saleh has reportedly encouraged the Pakistani business community to join efforts to ensure growth in the food security, mining, logistics, tourism, and industrial sectors of the Gulf nation.

Currently, Mr. Saleh is leading a 20-member Omani team to Pakistan, and he made these good sentiments during a visit to the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI).
The chairman added that under Vision 2040, his government is working to promote these five industries. He stated that Oman is receptive to international investment in accordance with streamlined legislation that permit investors to invest their full capital without the need for a local partner. It was also highlighted that taxes in Oman are much lower, with tax savings lasting up to five years. According to an Omani delegate, a route to Saudi Arabia has also been developed, decreasing cost, distance, and time and making Oman an export hub.

According to the head of the OCCI, Oman offers tax-free zones for export production, and fresh incentives are being offered to investors in an established economy with sophisticated infrastructure and tax benefits. He explained that the Omani Embassy in Pakistan is working with the OCCI to improve the visa application procedure.
