The Pakistan Super League has officially entered a new chapter of growth with the confirmation of home cities for its two newest franchises, bringing top-tier T20 cricket to Hyderabad and Sialkot.
PSL officials announced that the league’s seventh franchise will be based in Hyderabad after FKS Group secured the team with a winning bid of Rs. 175 crore. The franchise ownership has confirmed the city as its home, with the team’s official name and branding set to be unveiled at a formal launch ceremony in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Sialkot has been named the home city for the eighth PSL franchise, acquired by OZ Developers for Rs. 185 crore, a figure that surpassed the league’s base price. The move recognizes Sialkot’s rich cricketing heritage and its status as one of Pakistan’s most passionate sports cities.
