OGRA Issues Licenses to 2 Private Firms for Pipeline Construction
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) authorized Energas Terminal (Pvt) Limited and Tabeer Energy (Pvt) Limited to construct and operate a pipeline in order to inject re-gasified gas from their terminals into the national transmission system.

Previously, nearly all licenses, including terminal, transmission, and a number of other licenses, were awarded to them, and they were the final link in the LNG supply chain.
These licenses were issued in accordance with the OGRA Ordinance and Natural Gas Licensing Rules (NGLR) of 2002 in order to conduct the required regulated activities.
Once Energas Terminal (Pvt) Limited and Tabeer Energy (Pvt) Limited build and activate their licensee facilities, Pakistan will have an extra supply of between 1,500 and 2,000 MMCFD of natural gas for industrial and other clients.
OGRA has issued these licenses to effectively implement the government’s objectives and vision for competition, enhance private investment and ownership in Pakistan’s midstream and downstream oil and gas industry while protecting the public interest, and provide effective regulation.
