OnePlus is preparing to launch the OnePlus 15 globally later this year, and new details shared by OnePlus Europe’s Chief Marketing Officer Celina Shi suggest the phone will represent one of the biggest upgrades in the company’s history.
According to Shi, the OnePlus 15 will be a “two-generational leap” ahead of the OnePlus 13 in performance, design, and user experience. The flagship will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, positioning it directly against the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S26 in the premium smartphone market.
The OnePlus 15 will also introduce OxygenOS 16, which brings deeper AI features throughout the system. The traditional Alert Slider has been replaced with the new AI-powered “Plus Key,” offering instant access to key tools such as camera, flashlight, or quiet mode. OnePlus has partnered with Google to integrate Google Gemini into the phone’s Mind Space feature, enabling real-time personal assistance using live internet and device data.
A major highlight of the new model is the camera upgrade. The OnePlus 15 will debut the company’s new DetailMaxEngine imaging system, which uses multi-frame processing and AI enhancement to improve clarity and texture. Its new 26MP shooting mode merges multiple frames to create sharper and more detailed photos, while the upgraded Clear Burst mode increases continuous shooting to 10 frames per second. Low-light photography is also improved through enhanced noise control and brightness balancing.
The OnePlus 15 introduces a new design language with a square-shaped camera module replacing the circular one seen in previous models. The device will come in three colors: Infinite Black with a matte glass finish, Sand Storm with a fiberglass composite back, and Ultra Violet featuring a shifting dual-color coating.
A global launch is expected toward the end of 2025. With major upgrades in AI, photography, design, and performance, OnePlus appears to be positioning the OnePlus 15 as a key competitor in the next generation of flagship smartphones.
