OnePlus is gearing up to launch a brand-new smartphone lineup called the Turbo series, and recent leaks suggest the devices may not stay limited to China. One of the upcoming models is now expected to launch globally, including in India.

The OnePlus Turbo series is scheduled to debut in China next month, with at least two smartphones expected under the new branding. The lineup appears to focus on high performance while keeping prices relatively accessible.

One of the Turbo models has already appeared on the Geekbench database, revealing some key specifications ahead of the official launch.

The listing confirms that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. This chipset places the device in the upper mid-range segment, offering near-flagship performance while remaining more affordable than premium models. The processor choice indicates that OnePlus is targeting power users, gamers, and performance-focused buyers.

According to new leaks, OnePlus plans to bring the Turbo smartphone to international markets after its China debut. India is said to be one of the confirmed regions for release, though OnePlus has not yet shared an official global launch timeline. More details are expected once the China launch takes place in January.

One of the most talked-about features of the OnePlus Turbo is its massive 9,000 mAh battery. If accurate, this would be one of the largest batteries ever used in a OnePlus smartphone. Despite the large battery size, the phone is rumored to support 80W fast wired charging, allowing users to recharge quickly.

Leaks suggest the phone will feature an OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a high 165Hz refresh rate. This setup would deliver smooth visuals, especially for gaming, scrolling, and media consumption, reinforcing the phone’s performance-first approach.

The device is reportedly codenamed “Volkswagen,” hinting at OnePlus’ strategy of offering a powerful phone designed for mass appeal, much like the car brand’s philosophy.

In terms of photography, the OnePlus Turbo is expected to come with a dual rear camera setup. However, sensor details and camera features have not yet been revealed.

More specifications and official confirmation are expected as OnePlus moves closer to the launch of its new Turbo series.
