Ordinance Propagated to Set Up Housing Schemes Commission
In order to regularize housing schemes in Punjab and take stern action against illicit housing schemes, Governor Chaudhry Sarwar promulgated an ordinance in Lahore.

According to Mr. Sarwar, illegal housing designs will never be accepted and would be subject to swift and severe punishment.
According to the law, a commission would be established under the direction of a retired judge of the Pakistani Supreme Court to take action against illegal housing plans in Punjab.
The commission will also include a town planner, a civil engineer, a lawyer, and an environmentalist. The commission will also be able to hire an expert from any relevant public or private sector at the same time.

The housing scheme shall be forced to pay two times the value of the deficiency land as per the appropriate residential valuation table as a penalty if the required standard of roads is not maintained, even within the housing scheme.
