In a wave of international entrepreneurship, Pakistani businesses registered in Dubai increased by 59% in the first half of 2023, with India leading the pack. The city-state strengthens its position as a major international economic hub, aligning with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda and the larger UAE, against the backdrop of Pakistan’s difficult domestic situation and Dubai’s friendly business environment.
3,395 Pakistani businesses were registered in Dubai in the first half of 2023, a rise of roughly 59% from the same period in 2022. According to the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, there are 40,315 Pakistani enterprises operating out of Dubai.

Indian nationals registered the most new businesses in Dubai during the first half of 2023, followed by Pakistani investors.
The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment’s data indicates that from April 2022, an estimated 229,000 Pakistanis have moved to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This is mostly a result of the unstable political and economic situation in the nation as well as the rising cost of life.
From 4,845 in the first half of 2022 to 6,717 during this time, there were more Indian-owned enterprises registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, a 39 percent increase. 2,3% of the 30,146 businesses that had lately opened in Dubai were Indian.
The UAE was placed second only to India with 4,445 domestic companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in the first half of 2023.
The presence of enterprises from various countries, according to Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, president and chief executive officer of the Chamber, “reflects Dubai’s thriving commercial culture.”
He continued by saying that the growth in new Chamber members during the first half of 2023 is consistent with other UAE goals and the Dubai Economic Agenda.
