Over RS 64 Million Approved for Power, Business Zones
The Board of Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company has authorized the transfer of Rs 55 million to Fesco for the building of a 132KV grid station in the Bhalwal Industrial Zone and Rs 9.6 million to Lesco for a feeder connection in the Chunian Aqua Business Park.

Approval was granted at the 152nd meeting of the PIEDMC Board of Directors, which Syed Nabil Hashmi chaired. The board was pleased with PIEDMC’s performance throughout the past year.
On the recommendation of the procurement committee, the board also approved Rs5.4 million for disposal station consulting services in the Vehari and Rahimyar Khan industrial zones, Rs30 million for transaction advisory services in the Muzaffargarh Industrial Zone, the renewal of contracts for transport services and staff medical insurance. The gathering ratified the minutes of the 151st board meeting.

It was disclosed that the PIEDMC received Rs 12 billion from the QABP, Rahimyar Khan, Vehari, and Bhalwal Industrial zones, initiated the building of the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park and Bahawalpur Industrial Zone and renamed the Chunian Industrial Zone Aqua Business Park.
The industrialists are favoring PIEDMC-managed zones for their operations. The board instructed management to complete the construction of Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, Bahawalpur, and Chunian Aqua Business Park in a timely manner.
