Pakistan Addressed 35 FATF’s Recommendations
Pakistan complies with 35 out of 40 FATF recommendations on the AML/CFT system’s efficacy. These were stated in the Mutual Evaluation Report (MER), which suggested ways to strengthen the system.

According to the Asia Pacific Group (APG) report, Pakistan has implemented robust AML/CFT regulations. In addition, Pakistan has addressed weaknesses in AML/CFT compliance programs and employee screening regulations.
Pakistan will continue to report to the APG on its progress in implementing AML/CFT measures and will remain on heightened follow-up.

Pakistan requested that MER re-evaluate Recommendations 10, 18, 26, and 34, which resulted in this improvement. The fourth MER follow-up report is expected to APG on February 1, 2022.
