Astronomers in Pakistan have shared predicted dates for Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, and Eid-ul-Adha in 2026 based on scientific moon-sighting calculations. The forecasts offer an early idea of when the key Islamic months and festivals may fall, though final confirmation will depend on actual moon sightings.

According to noted astronomer Dr. Faheem Hashmi, the Ramadan crescent is expected to be visible in Pakistan on February 18. If the moon is sighted as expected, the first day of Ramadan would begin on February 19, marking the start of the holy month of fasting for Muslims across the country.

Dr. Hashmi also said that the Shawwal moon, which signals the end of Ramadan, is likely to be sighted on March 20. Based on this prediction, Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be celebrated on March 21, subject to confirmation by local moon-sighting authorities.

Regarding Eid al-Adha, the astronomer stated that the month of Dhul-Hijjah is expected to begin on May 17. With this timeline, Eid al-Adha could likely fall on May 27.

Experts emphasized that these dates are tentative and based on astronomical calculations. The final dates for Ramadan and both Eids will be officially announced after moon sightings in different regions of Pakistan.
