Pakistan Bar Council chairman and Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan has formally announced the official results of the Pakistan Bar Council elections, marking the completion of the country’s key legal body’s electoral process.
According to the results, Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar secured the highest number of votes in the election. He emerged as one of the leading successful candidates, reflecting strong support from the legal community.
Other candidates declared successful include Ahsan Bhoon and Hafeez-ur-Rehman Chaudhry. Senior lawyers Salman Akram Raja, Shafqat Mahmood Chohan, and Muhammad Maqsoor Butt also won their seats in the council.
Aamir Saeed Raan, Tahir Nasrullah Waraich, and Pir Masood Chishti were among the other candidates who emerged victorious. In addition, Syed Qalb-e-Hasan and Saqib Akram Gondal were also declared successful, along with several other members from different regions.
Following the announcement of results, congratulations poured in for all newly elected members of the Pakistan Bar Council. Legal circles expressed hope that the new council will play an active role in strengthening the rule of law, protecting lawyers’ rights, and contributing positively to judicial reforms in the country.
