Pakistan on Friday firmly dismissed the recent comments made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling them unfounded, provocative, and deeply irresponsible. The remarks, delivered during a public rally in Rajasthan, were criticized for being laced with distortions and incendiary rhetoric aimed at stirring regional hostility for political gain.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan denounced the Indian premier’s statements, stating they reflected a calculated effort to mislead the public and distract from internal issues. He warned that threatening rhetoric and boasts of military aggression against a sovereign state not only defy diplomatic norms but also violate the UN Charter and principles of international law. According to Khan, such behavior risks destabilizing an already sensitive region.

Pakistan, he stressed, has long been an active and committed partner in the global campaign against terrorism. Attempts to tie the country to acts of terrorism, he said, are not only factually wrong but appear to be a convenient deflection from India’s own domestic challenges—particularly its human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

He accused India of repeatedly using Pakistan as a scapegoat to mask its repressive policies in Kashmir, adding that the global community is increasingly aware of these tactics. The people of Kashmir, he said, have a legitimate struggle for self-determination that cannot be erased through aggressive speeches or political posturing.

Khan advised the Indian leadership to act responsibly and avoid incendiary language, urging them to focus on peaceful solutions rather than exploiting regional tensions for electoral advantage. He emphasized that while Pakistan remains fully committed to peace and regional stability, it will not hesitate to defend its sovereignty. Any act of aggression, he warned, will be met with a firm and proportional response, as Pakistan has shown in the past.

He concluded by calling on the international community to take serious notice of India’s escalating hostility, emphasizing that sustainable peace can only be achieved through dialogue, mutual respect, and adherence to international norms—not by glorifying conflict.
