Pakistan, Japan to Further Expand Economic Cooperation
Islamabad: Pakistan and Japan evaluated their range of trade and investment ties and pinpointed opportunities to further and broaden their economic cooperation.

During a call-on meeting between the federal minister for finance, revenue, industries, and production, Muhammad Hammad Azhar, and the ambassador of Japan, Kuninori Matsuda, the bilateral issues of shared interest were discussed.
Addressing at the event, the finance minister said that Pakistan and Japan had long maintained close connections and that these relations would only continue to grow stronger over time.

He acknowledged the assistance provided by the Japanese government for Pakistan’s institutional and infrastructure development, noting that Japan was a significant partner in Pakistan’s growth.
Hammad expressed his gratitude to Kuninori Matsuda for working to improve Pakistan-Japan relations. The envoy noted that Japan places a high priority on its bilateral ties with Pakistan at the time.
He gave the finance minister an update on the activities of the Japanese companies in Pakistan and expressed hope that trade and economic connections between the two nations would continue to grow.
