Pakistan Railways Offices Closed on Wednesday. Pakistan Railways will shut down offices nationwide on Wednesday, July 17th. This includes all reservation offices and other railway facilities. Normal operations will resume on Thursday, July 18th.

The closure coincides with Youm-e-Ashura, a day of mourning observed on the 10th of Muharram. This falls on Wednesday in Pakistan. The government previously declared July 16th and 17th as public holidays.

Railway officials assure there will be no disruptions to services before or after the closure.
Security Measures in Place
The federal government has also approved the deployment of armed forces across the country to maintain law and order during this time of office closure.
