Pakistan Railways to Revive Narowal-kartarpur Railways Line
According to news sources, Pakistan Railways (PR) announced the upgrade and restoration of the Narowal-Kartarpur railway line in Lahore. The decision was made to ease Sikh pilgrims visiting Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur.
The concept for the PKR 1 billion Narowal- Kartarpur project will be presented at the future meeting that the minister of railways will preside over. According to the information, the route has been inactive since 2003 due to defective lines. After the opening of the Kartarpur corridor, the project will be resurrected to accommodate the flood of Sikh believers.

In accordance with the revised project specifications, a new line will be laid concurrently with the building of the station, which will include a station master’s office, basic sanitation and drinking water facilities, and security gates. In addition, the concept includes sufficient resting facilities and waiting places.
According to the chief executive officer of Pakistan Railways, Nisar Ahmed Memon, in addition to providing greater facilities, the significance of the route also results in higher revenue for Pakistan Railways through improved service delivery.
