Tehran – On Monday, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Iran for supporting Pakistan during recent problems with India. He also said Pakistan supports Iran’s peaceful use of nuclear energy.
PM Shehbaz called Iran like a “second home” and talked about the strong friendship and history between the two countries. He said Pakistan and Iran should work more closely together.
He had good talks with Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, who showed concern about problems in the region. Shehbaz thanked Iran for staying in close contact and caring about Pakistan’s safety.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan wants peace and wants to solve problems, including the Kashmir issue, through talking and following UN rules. But he warned if India attacks again, Pakistan will respond strongly with support from its people and army.
He also showed support for Gaza, condemning Israel’s actions, and asked the world to help stop the fighting. He said over 54,000 Palestinians have died.
PM Shehbaz said Pakistan fully supports Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy.
Iran’s President Pezeshkian welcomed the peace talks between Pakistan and India and asked both countries to keep talking. He also criticized Western countries for staying silent about violence in Palestine, calling it “deeply shameful.”
He thanked PM Shehbaz and his team for visiting Iran.
