Pakistan and Saudi Arabia successfully wrapped up their joint counterterrorism military exercise Al-Battar II, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Tuesday.
The drills, conducted from 18 to 26 November, brought together Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group (SSG) and the Saudi Armed Forces’ combat teams for intensive training.
A closing ceremony was held in Tabuk, attended by the General Officer Commanding SSG.
According to ISPR, troops from both nations showcased strong professionalism, operational readiness, and mutual cooperation. The exercise focused on sharpening joint counterterrorism capabilities, with training in urban warfare, handling and neutralising improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and coordinated mission execution.
ISPR said Al-Battar II not only met its training objectives but also reinforced the deep-rooted defence partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, strengthening their shared commitment to regional peace, security, and preparedness.
