Pakistan Services Limited, the owner and operator of the Pearl-Continental Hotels chain, has postponed its upcoming election of directors following instructions from the Islamabad High Court, according to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
In a board meeting held on February 23, 2026, the company decided to defer the elections that were scheduled for March 29, 2026. The decision was taken in compliance with the court’s directives.
According to the company’s disclosure, the Islamabad High Court has suspended certain disputed notices related to the acquisition of shares and the holding of fresh elections. The court has also barred specific respondents from interfering in the company’s management or affairs.
The court further ordered that the disputed share transfers remain suspended and that status quo be maintained regarding the company’s shareholding structure, the composition of its board of directors, and overall control and management.
Pakistan Services Limited stated that the elections will remain postponed until further orders are issued by the court.
