RAWALPINDI: Pakistan and Tajikistan have reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen defence cooperation to promote regional peace and stability, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.
According to the ISPR, Tajik Defence Minister Colonel General Sobirzoda Emomali Abdulrahim called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza at the Joint Staff Headquarters.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, particularly focusing on the regional and global security environment. They also reviewed measures to enhance the scope of military collaboration between the two brotherly nations.
General Mirza reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening bilateral defence relations aimed at fostering lasting peace and stability in the region.
The visiting minister appreciated the professionalism and achievements of the Pakistan Armed Forces, especially in counter-terrorism and peacekeeping operations.
