Pakistan to Celebrate Eid Ul Fitr 2023 on Saturday, 22 April 2023
The Shawwal moon has not been seen, according to the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s announcement on Thursday, hence Eid-ul-Fitr will fall on Saturday, April 22.

The declaration was delivered by Moulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad, the head of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. According to the notification, Friday will also be very important since it will be observed as Jumma-tul-Wida, while Saturday will be observed as the first day of the holy holiday of Eid-ul-Fitr.

A notice from the Ministry of Religious Affairs shortly after the declaration stated that Shawwal 1, 1444 AH would begin on Saturday.
For Eid-ul-Fitr, the federal government has already announced a five-day holiday. From Friday, April 21, to Tuesday, April 25, the holidays will be honored.

It is important to note that the Ruet-i-Hilal Research Council (RHRC) earlier this month predicted that Eid-ul-Fitr would likely be observed on April 22, adding that even if the committees will gather on the evening of April 20, it is unlikely that they will be able to see the moon.
