A private Chinese business has sent a cutting-edge electric SRT subway bus to Lahore for a trial run, which is a big step toward the city’s transition to more modernized and environmentally friendly public transportation.
In collaboration with the Punjab government, the cutting-edge bus was delivered to the Orange Line Terminal, where it is planned to undergo trial operations. According to officials, the bus might be tested first on Canal Road, one of the busiest paths in Lahore.
Modern, trackless transportation
An easy and environmentally friendly option for existing mass transit systems, the SRT (Smart Rail Transit) bus is a state-of-the-art electric vehicle that operates without the use of conventional tracks. The SRT bus, which is already in use in places like Dubai, is renowned for its flexibility and environmental advantages.
The bus, which has two engines and can travel up to 100 kilometers per hour, is up to 30 meters long. The vehicle can turn in areas as small as 15 meters in diameter, demonstrating its exceptional handling despite its size.
