Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has urged the international community to unite against terrorism in all its forms, without discrimination.
In a statement released on Thursday, MoFA reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to global efforts while observing the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism. The ministry said the day represents solidarity with victims worldwide and highlighted Pakistan’s own sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
According to MoFA, Pakistan has been a direct victim of terrorism, much of it planned from across the border. The country continues to face new and evolving threats, while its security forces and civilians have made immense sacrifices. Over 90,000 lives have been lost, and the nation has suffered economic losses of more than $150 billion.The spokesperson paid tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs and heroes and expressed solidarity with oppressed people around the world—particularly those in Indian-occupied Kashmir and Palestine, who continue to resist aggression.
