Pakistani Rupee Falls to All-time Low of RS 252 Against Us Dollar
ISLAMABAD, January 27, 2023- Pakistani rupee has fallen to all-time low of Rs. 252 against US Dollar.
Recently, on an open market, the Pakistani rupee fell by 5.75 percent, or Rs14.5, to a record low of Rs252.5 per US dollar.
The PSX (Pakistan Stock Exchange) increased by 1.87% (or 730 points) to 39,785 points as the rupee depreciated. However, the currency depreciated as currency dealers stated they would stop artificially maintaining the rupee’s value at Rs238 per dollar for a time.

Muhammad Sohail, CEO of Topline Securities, claimed, “At 11 a.m. today, the local currency fell to Rs252.5 per dollar.” Until Tuesday, currency dealers had maintained it at Rs238.”
