Pakistan’s Foreign Exchange Reserves Rise by $43 Million in a Week

In a single week, the nation’s entire foreign exchange reserves increased by $43 million.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reports that the total reserves came to $1.9854 billion. In the same time frame, banks’ dollar deposits rose by $29 million to $540 million, while the central bank’s dollar reserves rose by $14 million to $1.4455 billion.

According to a report last month, the SBP’s liquid foreign reserves increased marginally to $14,357.2 million, while the nation’s total reserves rose to $19,735.7 million as of September 12.

“SBP’s FX reserves increased by $21 million to $14,357.2 million during the week ended 12-Sep-2025,” the central bank said Thursday in its weekly bulletin on the status of liquid foreign reserves.
