Muhammad Hasnain Akhtar of Pakistan won the IBSF World U17 Snooker Championship in Bahrain after defeating Riley Powell of Wales 4–0.
32 players from 14 countries participated in the tournament, according to information that leaked on Friday.
Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), congratulated Hasnain on his triumph after it was announced, calling it a show of expertise and a source of pride for the country.
He expressed hope for more accomplishments and claimed that Hasnain’s performance demonstrated the capacity and hard work of Pakistani youngsters.
Murad Ali Shah, the chief minister of Sindh, also congratulated Hasnain Akhtar and praised him for bringing Pakistan international recognition.
