PC hardware company Corsair is facing online criticism after it reportedly canceled a confirmed order for a prebuilt gaming PC and then relisted the same system at a significantly higher price.

The issue surfaced after a customer shared his experience on Reddit, where the post quickly gained attention and sparked debate among tech enthusiasts. According to the user, he had successfully placed an order for a Corsair Vengeance a5100 gaming PC priced at Rs981,400. However, the order was later canceled by Corsair without a clear explanation.

Shortly after the cancellation, the same system reappeared on Corsair’s official website with a new price tag of Rs1,205,935. This reflected a price increase of Rs224,535, which angered many potential buyers and raised questions about the company’s order handling and pricing practices.

The gaming PC in question is a high-end prebuilt system. It features an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D processor, an NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics card, 32GB DDR5 memory, and a 2TB solid-state drive.

Some users suggested that rising costs of DDR5 memory and other components could be behind the sudden price hike. However, many argued that canceling a confirmed order and relisting the same product at a higher price was unfair and damaged customer trust.

The situation triggered widespread criticism online, with users questioning Corsair’s transparency and customer policies. In response, Corsair commented on Reddit, asking the affected customer to share his order details so the company could investigate the matter.

So far, it remains unclear whether Corsair will reinstate the canceled order or offer any compensation. The incident has left many customers waiting for clarity and has sparked broader discussion about pricing ethics in the prebuilt PC market.
