In a first for women’s cricket, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has handed out 65 domestic contracts for the 2025–26 season—establishing a two-tier system for the first time.

The July 2025 to June 2026 contracts have been divided into Gold and Silver lists. Twenty best performers are on the Gold list, and 45 others, including U19 and emerging players, have been assigned to Silver.

The scheme not only compensates regular performers but also provides a clear route to develop young cricketers under the domestic setup. The PCB has also reserved the option for other players to gain contracts in future tournaments and regional academy camps.

The Women’s National Selection Committee, headed by ex-Test cricketer Asad Shafiq and ex-Pakistan international Batool Fatima, completed the list.

Gold Category (20 Players)

Anam Amin, Anosha Nasir, Ayesha Zafar, Dua Majid, Ghulam Fatima, Gull Rukh, Hafsa Khalid, Huraina Sajjad, Iram Javed, Kaynat Hafeez, Mahnoor Aftab, Neelam Mushtaq, Noreen Yaqoob, Saima Malik, Saira Jabeen, Tania Saeed, Tasmia Rubab, Yusra Amir, Zaib-un-Nisa, Zunash Abdul Sattar.

Silver Category (45 Players)

It comprises senior players, U19 youngsters, and upcoming talent like Aleena Masood, Fatima Zahra, Noor-ul-Iman, Rida Aslam, and so many others. Emerging youngsters like Meerab Sheikh, Haniah Ahmer, Manahil Rafiq, and Zoofishan Ayyaz are also included here.

In establishing these categories, the PCB is sending a serious message: supporting today’s stars and investing in tomorrow’s stars. With Pakistan looking to raise its global profile in women’s cricket, this increased and deeper domestic talent pool is viewed as the key to long-term success.
