Peshawar: According to the most recent information, the administration of Peshawar has taken severe measures to combat the land transfer scam involving 1,375 Kanals inside of a big government housing project. In response to a complaint posted on the Pakistan Citizen Portal, the investigation got underway. The investigation was directed by Mr. Rao Hashim Azeem, the deputy settlement commissioner for Peshawar, who found that three revenue agents were involved in the fraud. Originally owned by the community (Shamilat), the damaged land was illegally transferred to a housing society that was associated with a provincial government after being mistakenly classified as migrant property.

The fact that the accused authorities have been suspended as a result of this information must be mentioned. The deputy commissioner of Peshawar, Mr. Shah Fahad, promised to thoroughly investigate the situation within two weeks to ensure a resolution. We’ll see how all this was handled, he asserted. In addition, he said that 13 tax officers had been fired over the previous six months, and 30 inquiries for various malpractice incidents are still open.
