MS petrol and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) are likely to increase this week as the international oil prices and import premiums have gone up.

It has been learned that the federal government has resolved to increase the price of petrol by Rs. 4 per liter and the price of diesel by Rs. 5 per liter with effect from November 15, 2024. The upward revision takes into account the international oil prices, where MS saw an increase of US$1.7 per barrel and diesel increased by US$4.4 per barrel. Surprisingly, during the period under review, the Pakistani rupee remained stable at the 277 level.
