After the Oil Tankers Association stopped delivery on Monday, Pakistan is at risk of experiencing a catastrophic oil scarcity. The fact that this is happening at a time when oil costs are already high worries customers much more.
According to Abdul Sami Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA), some gas stations in Karachi are running out of fuel. Stations in the upcountry areas, meanwhile, are now unaffected.
In the past, there have been recorded interruptions in the supply of gasoline and diesel, notably from the terminals in Keamari and Port Qasim in Karachi. However, law enforcement agencies’ intervention made sure that the oil supply resumed in a number of areas.

In light of the continuing tanker strike, the Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC) has already warned the oil ministry about anticipated supply problems.
Noman Ali Butt, a representative for the All Pakistan Oil Contractor Association (Islamabad Region), said that oil deliveries have been temporarily halted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir, which has further complicated matters.
Noman emphasized that talks with the pertinent ministries are ongoing, and a conclusion to the meeting is anticipated soon.
The association is requesting an increase in freight charges, a rise in its oil pipeline transportation quota from 30% to 65%, and the ability to distribute oil using more aged trucks.
