Petroleum Dealers to go on Indefinite Strike From July 22
An indefinite stoppage of distribution has been announced by the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA). The association will go on strike on Saturday, July 22, 2023, starting at 6 AM.
The association is experiencing crushing losses as a result of the increased sales of petrol and diesel that are being smuggled from Iran, according to the official notification released by PPDA Chairman Abdul Sami Khan.

The notice also states that the group wrote to Musadik Malik, the minister of petroleum, to raise this and other concerns. However, the association’s complaints received no response from the minister.
Problems will arise for the general people as a result of the nationwide closure of the petrol supply. It is urged that people fill up their cars with petrol through Friday night, 21 July. According to the group, the demonstration will continue until the petroleum ministry takes meaningful action to address the problem.
