Phase-1 of State Cadastral Mapping Complete
Islamabad: According to press sources, Pakistan’s Surveyor General said that the government had completed phase 1 of the cadastral mapping of state land. According to the most recent maps, 96% of the land in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 90% of the land in Punjab, and 50% of the land in Balochistan have been digitally documented.

During a meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Housing Construction and Development led by Prime Minister (PK) Imran Khan, this information was made public. The prime minister stated at the time that once the computerized mapping of state land was complete, the government would be better equipped to supervise land use and maintain green places, so ensuring food security.

The prime minister emphasized the significance of the River Ravi urban development project by mandating that its construction be expedited. The aforementioned meeting was attended by senior leaders of the federal government, members of development boards, and the chief secretaries of Punjab, KP, and Balochistan.
