Travellers making the Umrah pilgrimage from major Pakistani cities like Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Peshawar, Multan, and Faisalabad to Jeddah may now get tickets for as little as Rs6,000 less with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Travelers from other cities would now pay Rs87,000, minus taxes, while those from Karachi and Quetta will pay Rs79,000.
The purpose of this action is to assist Pakistani pilgrims who are struggling financially. As a result, PIA anticipates an increase in travelers and income.
The 2024 Hajj Policy has not yet been announced since efforts are being made to reduce the cost of the Hajj package. To accommodate a larger range of pilgrims, the government is also providing a more flexible 20 to 25-day Hajj package this year.

Unofficial estimates said that the cost of the Hajj journey this year would be just over Rs. 1 million; nevertheless, the government intends to keep the Sponsorship scheme in place, which will do away with the requirement for balloting.
