PIA Confirms System Upgrade in Progress

According to a PIA spokesperson, the “Hit-It” system is currently undergoing an upgrade aimed at improving its functionality. Speaking to ProPakistani, the spokesperson assured that the system is expected to be restored “in a day or so,” although no exact timeline was provided.

PIA employees receive annual domestic and international travel privileges based on their employment grade. However, the prolonged outage has left many frustrated, as they rely on this portal for their travel bookings.

Temporary Booking Alternative Introduced

To address the disruption, PIA has introduced an alternative booking solution through the Crew Resource Control (CRC) system. However, employees have reported that the CRC system is less efficient, leading to additional delays and inconveniences.

As PIA management continues its system upgrade, employees are urging the airline to expedite the process to minimize further disruption. The incident has highlighted the importance of a reliable digital infrastructure for essential services such as staff travel bookings.
