Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a reduction of Rs. 7,000 in Umrah ticket costs, notwithstanding the prevailing financial crisis.
The two-way Umrah ticket from Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Peshawar, Multan, and Faisalabad to Jeddah has been lowered to Rs. 87,000, including tax, according to a PIA representative.
In addition, the two-way ticket from Karachi and Quetta to Jeddah now costs Rs. 79,000. The updated rates are now in force right away.

According to a national flag carrier representative, “The PIA continuously stands at the forefront in facilitating Umrah pilgrims,” to a media outlet. Recently, hundreds of flights had to be canceled by PIA owing to fuel supply concerns.
The state-owned airline has reportedly lost more than Rs. 6 billion and given passengers refunds totaling about Rs. 50 million.
By the next week, PIA intends to fully resume flight operations. According to reports, the airline gave Pakistan State Oil (PSO) Rs. 500 million. As a result, PIA will now operate its flights based on fuel availability.
