PKR 10 Billion Mega Development Package Allotted for Gujrat
Gujrat: The Punjab government has authorized a Rs 10 billion uplift package for the district because the works are part of the ADP for 2021–22 and would be implemented this year.

The sources also stated that the package’s primary goal was to address Gujrat City’s fundamental problems, including the inadequate sewerage and drainage systems, the quality of the city’s roads, and the growth of the industrial estate area.
According to a member of the Chaudhary family’s staff, the chief minister had approved Moonis Elahi’s proposals for the construction of Phase-II of the small industrial estate area on 150 acres, the building of the 14-kilometer-long old GT road from Rehmania Bridge to Kathala railway crossing, the construction of Track-II of the Servis Morr flyover connecting Rehman Shaheed Road to the GT Road bypass and industrial area link road, and the renovation of Gujrat city

Mr. Buzdar is also scheduled to dedicate a number of other improvement initiatives during his visit, including the recently built District Police Complex, the Shahbazpur Bridge across the River Chenab, which will link Gujrat and Sialkot.
