Zahoor Khan, the district education officer, launched the initiative to plant trees in the garden of his office in Lakki Marwat.

Together with staff members, a group of boy scouts from Government Higher Secondary School Tajazai participated in the planting activities.

The district education office also gave government schools the go-ahead to celebrate Plantation Day with events.
