PM for Early Commencement of North-South Gas Pipeline Project
Islamabad: According to a news report, Pakistan’s Prime Minister (PM), Imran Khan, restated his commitment to completing the legal requirements for the Pakistan Stream North-South Gas Pipeline project in order to start construction as soon as possible.

The prime minister shared these opinions with Sergey Lavrov, the foreign minister of Russia, at a meeting to discuss bilateral ties. Additionally, throughout the talks, issues of regional and international significance were also covered.
Mr. Imran Khan recalled their interaction at the SCO Summit in Bishkek in June 2019 where they both represented the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). He extended to Mr. Putin his earlier offer for a visit to Pakistan soon.
He also gave the relationship between the two nations a lot of weight and expressed his happiness with the development of such ties and the increasing collaboration in the areas of trade, energy, and military.

Further discussions on the subjects of energy, business, transportation via rail, and aviation took place, and specific recommendations were made for the Inter-Governmental Commission (IGC), which will meet in Moscow this year.
