PM Announced RS 120bn Relief Package for 130 Million People

Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed the nation and announced a “historic” Rs120 billion aid package for the people.

In view of the country’s high inflation, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced in his speech to the nation that the government is presenting a package for 20 million families that will benefit 130 million Pakistanis.

“The federal and provincial governments would provide this [poverty alleviation] package worth Rs120 billion to the Pakistani people,” he stated.

As part of the package, citizens will receive a 30% discount on three essential food items, including ghee, wheat, and pulses, according to the prime minister.
