PM Introduces Landmark to Ease Import and Export System

Imran Khan, Pakistan’s prime minister, recently announced that the country’s legislature has passed the “Pakistan Single Window Act 2021,” a historic change intended to facilitate system import and export.

Imran Khan claimed via the Twitter platform that the Pakistan Single Window Act will undoubtedly save about $500 million annually and shorten the time it takes to clear cargo from days to hours by integrating 75 regulatory agencies, including banks, customs, port authorities, brokers, and shipping firms.

But, a second government committee will also be in charge of managing the Pakistan Single Window. This body will see to it that Pakistan’s commerce and transit tasks are improved.
