Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Kamra Air Base on Thursday to honour the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) officers for their role in the recent successful defence operation. He confirmed that a sixth Indian warplane was downed during the conflict, calling it a historic victory.
Shehbaz, joined by Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and other key ministers, was received by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu and Army Chief General Asim Munir.

Addressing the PAF personnel, Shehbaz praised the force for “crushing the enemy’s arrogance” and labelled the victory as one of the most glorious chapters in Pakistan’s military history.
