Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
During the meeting, PM Sharif conveyed his best wishes to the Emir and Crown Prince of Kuwait and expressed satisfaction over the close friendship shared by the two countries. He thanked Kuwait for its generous support to Pakistan during the devastating floods and underscored the importance of expanding cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, agriculture, health, and manpower.
Shehbaz Sharif also extended an invitation to the Kuwaiti Crown Prince to visit Pakistan later this year, which was warmly received. The gesture reflected the shared intention of both nations to elevate their partnership to a new level.
The Kuwaiti Crown Prince praised Pakistan’s diplomatic role and acknowledged its consistent support for the Palestinian cause. Both leaders also discussed key developments in the Middle East, along with broader regional and global issues.
They agreed to continue working closely at bilateral and multilateral forums to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region while building on their historic ties.
