Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Qatar, saying the country stands firmly with its Qatari brothers in advancing regional security, prosperity, and a shared vision for the future. Speaking at Qatar’s National Day celebration, the prime minister said Pakistan and Qatar enjoy a deep, strategic partnership that extends far beyond geography. He added that Qatar’s investments in Pakistan’s key sectors are contributing significantly to the country’s economic recovery and long-term development.
In a separate development, the government released an official communiqué outlining the details of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto’s two-day visit to Pakistan. During the trip, President Subianto held delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, where both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
The Indonesian president was awarded Pakistan’s highest civilian honour, the Nishan-e-Pakistan, in recognition of his services and the strong friendship between the two nations. He also met President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, with both countries expressing resolve to expand cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.
