PM Wants Proposals to Put Citizen Club Building in Good Use
Islamabad: The Prime Minister Imran Khan established a two-person committee to recommend using the Citizen Club building in F-9 Park, which has remained vacant since it was built.
During his visit to the structure, the prime minister gave the order after receiving a briefing from Amer Ali Ahmed, chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), and Nayyar Ali Dada, architect of the club.

Mr. Khan requested the CDA chairman and Mr. Dada to put out a workable utility plan for the structure, which spans 22 acres and has a covered area of 265,000 square feet.
The Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the Minister of Planning, Asad Umar, the Minister of Human Rights, Dr. Shireen Mazari, the Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Health, Dr. Faisal Sultan, and Senator Faisal Javed were also in attendance.

According to sources, a preliminary discussion between the CDA chairman and Nayyar Ali Dada resulted in the decision that there is a possibility that the building may be contracted out in order to make it self-sufficient.
The prime minister also planted a sapling in F-9 Park to kick off a national campaign to plant trees for the monsoon season.
