President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed concern over the recent illness of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, offering prayers for his speedy recovery and long life.
According to reports, King Salman has been discharged from the hospital after undergoing a complete medical checkup and has returned to his residence. Medical tests were described as satisfactory.
President Asif Ali Zardari sent a message of goodwill to the Saudi monarch, stating that the entire Pakistani nation is praying for the health of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He said King Salman holds a place of deep respect in the hearts of the Pakistani people and prayed that Allah Almighty grants him good health, a long life, and continued strength in leadership.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his concern upon learning of King Salman’s hospitalization, saying he was deeply worried by the news. He emphasized that the people of Pakistan hold the Saudi leadership in high esteem and are united in prayers for the King’s early and complete recovery.
Pakistan maintains longstanding diplomatic and institutional ties with Saudi Arabia, and its leadership has consistently voiced deep respect for the Saudi royal family, particularly in view of the Kingdom’s religious significance and its central role in the Muslim world.
