Price of Gold in Pakistan Goes Up by Rs. 1,300 Per Tola
Friday’s closing price for a tola of gold in Pakistan was Rs. 221,500, an increase of Rs. 1,300.
The All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) recently released data showing that the price of gold (24 carats) climbed by Rs. 1,300 per tola to Rs. 221,500 and that the price of 10 grammes rose by Rs. 1,115 to close at Rs. 189,901.
After dropping by Rs. 2,500 per tola on Monday, the price of gold remained constant on Tuesday. Prior to dropping by Rs. 2,800 per tola yesterday, the price of the precious metal increased by Rs. 800 per tola on Wednesday. With today’s increase, the price of gold has dropped by a total of Rs. 3,200 per tola during the past week.
By 1046 GMT, spot gold was down 0.1 percent on the global market and trading at $1,932.09 per ounce, while US gold futures were down 0.1 percent at $1,967.20.
