Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday announced the establishment of a Danish School in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while addressing a ceremony held under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme at the University of Haripur.
During the event, the prime minister distributed laptops among students and said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is home to brave and resilient people who have faced terrorism for decades. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of police and security forces, stating that Pakistan’s stability and survival are the result of their unwavering dedication.
Shehbaz Sharif announced that more laptops would be distributed across the province, stressing that Pakistan’s future depends on empowering its youth. He recalled that during his tenure as chief minister of Punjab, 600 students were sent abroad to learn the Chinese language.
The prime minister said Pakistan could only become a great nation if all four provinces progressed together. Referring to regional security, he claimed that Pakistan’s armed forces had taught the Modi-led Indian government a lesson it would not forget, adding that the country’s victory was achieved through the prayers of the people.
He said Allah Almighty accepted the nation’s prayers and granted Pakistan an honor that continues to be respected. He added that India would never forget its defeat.
Highlighting achievements in education, Shehbaz Sharif said a total of 600,000 laptops have been distributed so far purely on merit. He also announced plans to send students from across Pakistan abroad for training in artificial intelligence.
Speaking on the economy, the prime minister said Pakistan had emerged from economic difficulties and no longer faced the threat of default. He emphasized that the next objective was sustainable economic growth, adding that progress could not be achieved through superstition but through unity, hard work, and determination.
He concluded by saying that national unity would make Pakistan’s progress unstoppable and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to respecting the culture and traditions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
