Karachi, February 24, 2025 – Pakistan Refinery Limited (PSX: PRL) has restarted its operations after a brief shutdown for scheduled maintenance, the company announced on Monday.
In a statement to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), PRL confirmed that its refinery operations resumed on February 23, 2025, following the temporary closure that began last week.

The refinery’s maintenance came at a time when demand for petroleum products was low, allowing the company to optimize its operations for the upcoming harvesting season. This strategic move aims to ensure long-term sustainability and efficiency.
PRL, a subsidiary of Pakistan State Oil (PSO), plays a key role in the country’s petroleum production and supply chain. Its timely resumption of operations is expected to support the energy sector and maintain a steady fuel supply across Pakistan.
