Property Verification Centre Set Up at DC Office, Islamabad
Islamabad: According to press reports, the capital administration built a Property Verification Center (PVC) at the Facilitation Center in the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office in coordination with the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
The PVC was launched by DC Mohammad Hamza Shafqat to begin property verification in an effort to combat real estate fraud in the city, according to the details. A portal with information on housing societies and CDA- and the capital administration-owned property was also established. The DC also urged everyone to use the CityApp, which the government had also just introduced.
In addition, DC Shafqat said that shoddy housing projects in the nation’s capital had made foreigners and citizens of other regions of the country victims of land fraud.
The DC further claimed that in order to escape legal repercussions, these housing societies have site offices outside of Islamabad. To entice customers, several owners falsely imply that their housing societies are in the city while in reality, they are outside of it.

According to reports, the local administration introduced PVC to ensure honesty in the real estate sector. The consumer must fill out a form to inquire about the property’s legal status, and they will receive a response within a day.
It costs nothing to get the center’s status verified. After one week, clients can purchase it once the legal status has been disclosed. Pakistanis who live abroad can also use this service.
