Viper Group celebrated its 30 Years of Innovation at Innovista Indus in Karachi, aligning the milestone with Indus AI Week. The event gathered senior government officials, industry leaders, CIOs, and members of Pakistan’s business and technology community to acknowledge Viper’s three decades of contribution to the country’s IT sector.
Pakistan Software Export Board CEO Faisal Jeddy attended as the Chief Guest and congratulated Viper on completing 30 years of service to Pakistan’s technology industry. He appreciated the company’s consistent efforts in strengthening the national tech ecosystem and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting IT and emerging technologies. He noted that, in collaboration with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the government is prioritizing digital transformation and artificial intelligence, emphasizing that strong public–private partnerships will be essential to achieving Pakistan’s AI ambitions.
During the ceremony, the CEO of PSEB presented the Indus AI plaque to Khushnood Aftab, CEO of Viper Technology.
Khushnood Aftab highlighted Viper’s evolution across hardware, software, and talent development. He stressed the need to formally integrate IT hardware into Pakistan’s national AI policy alongside software development and training initiatives. He stated that local firms are already contributing through computing hardware, AI-ready systems, and workforce training, and with supportive policies, Pakistan can enhance technological independence and reduce reliance on imports.
Shabbir Hassan Mansha, Chairman of the Pakistan-China Business Council and former Vice President of FPCCI, congratulated Viper and expressed confidence in the country’s IT sector. He emphasized the business community’s readiness to invest in AI and technology, calling for supportive taxation and policy reforms to ensure regional competitiveness.
Col. Tahir Bashir (R), Director Innovista Indus, commended Viper’s role in strengthening Pakistan’s technology landscape and reaffirmed Innovista’s commitment to facilitating technology companies through infrastructure and innovation-focused platforms.
P@SHA Board Member Mohammad Munaf also acknowledged Viper’s longstanding contribution to the IT ecosystem and reiterated P@SHA’s commitment to improving the ease of doing business for technology firms.
Asim Sheikh, CEO of Viper Academy, distributed certificates to students who completed training programs, particularly in AI technologies. He emphasized that skilled human capital will be the foundation of Pakistan’s AI-driven future and that sustained investment in training is critical to achieving national digital goals.
Dr. Rana Shehzad, Director General of the Sindh IT Department, attended as Guest of Honor and assured continued provincial support for initiatives aimed at skill development and digital growth.
The ceremony was attended by CEOs, CIOs, senior IT professionals, and representatives from government and corporate sectors. Participants collectively recognized Viper Group’s contribution through locally assembled computing solutions, software development, and training programs.
As Pakistan advances its AI roadmap, the event underscored a shared commitment between government and industry to build a sustainable, innovation-driven, and self-reliant technology ecosystem for the future.
